Multiple State Plan Amendments Approved in October

State plan amendments approved in October provide for rate reductions for a number of services and a time limited enhanced payment for some psychiatric services under Medicaid. 

State of Illinois to focus on behavioral health

Illinois submitted an 1115 Behavioral Health Transformation Waiver Proposal which seeks federal funding for behavioral health and mental health services including housing and supported employment. This waiver proposal was an excellent demonstration of ways to use Medicaid to address social determinants of health.
